Some of the main findings of the study were:
-The position of tribal women in families is poor. They are not consulted in the decision-making process in families and in society and this include decision- making even about their own health.
-Male children are preferred in families. The girl child is viewed as a curse.
There is preferential treatment for the male children.
-There is violation of reproductive and sexual rights of females of all age groups. There is the presence of premarital and extramarital sex. Unwed and unintended pregnancies and unsafe abortions are present in the villages
