Project Outcome
At the end of the 1 year project period, through the education and screening programs in rural areas, the most leprosy cases are found in an early stage so that they can start treatment quickly.
The knowledge level of about Direct 12854 and Indirect 25,108 Beneficiaries of people in the project villages have improved. If not 100% at least 80% of people will be able to tell the early symptoms of leprosy.
Health Promoters will have been developed who could look after the communication needs of the people in the 12 project villages. They will have the skills to identify and refer persons with early signs and symptoms to appropriate healthcare institutions.
